CNU 32's 125 sessions and tours provide nearly 500 hours of continuing education for AIA, AICP, LA-CES, and CNU-A. If you have the CNU Connect App, you can report hours for each session or tour you attended using the link at the bottom of the session description.

CNU strives to have available as many continuing education credits as possible for Congress attendees. Continuing education staff at AIA, ASLA, and APA determine if our Congress programs meet their eligibility criteria, and require that session and tour information is finalized before submitting them for their review and approval. When information is available we will update this page regarding which sessions have been approved, the number of continuing education credits, and by which accrediting institution.  A hard copy of the same information will be available for review at the CNU table and the Volunteer/Information table at CNU 32.Cincinnati.

A majority of the sessions and the tours at past Congresses were approved for continuing education by AIA, ASLA, and APA. In addition, most education sessions and tours are approved for CNU-A continuing education. CNU is also happy to provide certificates of participation to those who need documentation for other continuing education or accrediting institutions.

APA AICP CERTIFICATION MAINTENANCE

AICP members can earn Certification Maintenance (CM) credits for many activities at this event, many of which meet the criteria for Mandatory CM topic credit (law, ethics, equity, and sustainability/resilience). When CM credits are available, they are noted at the end of an activity description. The list of sessions and the number of credits associated with each session will be posted on APA's website catalog as soon as they are entered.  To claim your credits post-Congress, self-report your credits on the APA website just as you normally would. More information about AICP’s CM program can be found at planning.org/cm

AIA CONTINUING EDUCATION

CNU is registered with the American Institute of Architects' Continuing Education System (AIA/CES) to provide learning units at a ratio of one credit per hour of instruction. Most sessions receive AIA credits (LU’s), many qualifying for Health, Safety & Welfare (HSW) credits. To claim AIA credits, attendance information will be collected onsite at all approved sessions and we’ll report them to AIA on your behalf. Please have your AIA member number ready to enter at each session attended. Attendance for all sessions is submitted to the AIA within 2 weeks after the Congress. Attendees should see the sessions they attended reflected in their account within 3 weeks following the last day of Congress.

If you have questions about AIA CES credits, please consult AIA's FAQ.

ASLA CONTINUING EDUCATION

CNU is a registered education provider with ASLA and offers professional development hours (PDH), many qualifying for Health, Safety & Welfare (HSW) credits, through ASLA’s Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LA/CES). The LA/CES program is a collaboration of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA), Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture, Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB), Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board, and the Landscape Architecture Foundation. Over 30 states require continuing education for landscape architects; however, all do not use LA CES to determine provider or course eligibility. To learn more about a specific jurisdiction, visit Continuing Education Requirements. When in doubt, contact a state board directly about LA CES.

At each session and/or tour approved for continuing education, attendee information will be collected and CNU will report attendance to LA CES within 20 days of the course. To facilitate attendee sign-in on site, please remember to have your six or seven-digit ASLA member number, CLARB Record Number, CSLA Member Number, and/or your Florida License Number.
