Getting to Austin

Austin's Bergstrom Airport has flights to 46 destinations aboard 12 airlines. You can buy air tickets for all carriers (except Southwest) via Orbitz.

Amtrak's Texas Eagle connects Chicago, St. Louis, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio daily, arriving in Austin at 7:00 PM southbound and 9:31 AM northbound. [Full schedule | Reservations/tickets]

Amtrak's Sunset Limited travels from Los Angeles to New Orleans via San Antonio. Connecting service to Austin is available via the Texas Eagle (above) or by bus.

Getting Around Austin

For travel to/from Bergstrom Airport, we recommend using Capital Metro's Airport Flyer bus [PDF timetable]. The fare is a mere $0.50 and buses leave every 40 minutes from position 4, which is to the right as you exit baggage claim. A taxi from the airport is about $25, and SuperShuttle also offers airport service -- buy tickets inside the terminal.

Within downtown Austin, you will be able to walk from all of the conference hotels to the convention center. For travel within central Austin, the Dillo offers free service within downtown and surrounding neighborhoods, including SoCo, UT, and East Austin. Your conference packet will include a downtown map showing the Dillo service, or you can view one below (or print one out here).
