TRANSIT-ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM MANAGER, Senior/Executive Level Position
Reporting to the Director of the Department of Planning and Permitting, the TOD Program Administrator will lead a multi-disciplinary team to:
- Oversee and direct TOD initiatives in coordination with transit planning, construction and operations; establish long/short-term program objectives, policies and procedures.
- Direct, review and coordinate planning studies, development agreements, and legal documents and grant applications.
- Establish roles and responsibilities of the TOD staff; coordinate all administrative matters related to budgetary and program needs.
- Interface with government agencies regarding zoning, budgetary and financial ordinances, grants and legislative matters in support of TOD program initiatives.
- Serve as the City's liaison in public-private, joint development projects.
- Develop a community involvement program; represent the City at hearings, neighborhood meetings, and other events.
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in planning, architecture, real estate or related field; master's degree preferred. At least 10 years experience with TOD projects required; land use, urban planning and related land development experience; 3 years of supervisory experience. Must be able to work successfully with competing priorities under minimum supervision and communicate well with all sectors of the community.
Position is based on continued funding, with initially, one-year guaranteed; tied to transit funding.
