Grist: Rustbelt Cities Are Greening

Grist Magazine recently profiled Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee, showing how these rustbelt cities are becoming increasingly sustainable. Although the term "rustbelt" may seem like the antithesis of green development, these three cities are shedding their former image as centers of heavy industry. While Syracuse and Milwaukee are densifying at the core, Pittsburgh is becoming a national leader in green building.
