A number of recent books have come out

A number of recent books have come out that are of interest to new urbanists, including Till We Have Built Jerusalem: Architecture, Urbanism, and the Sacred, published by ISI Books and authored by Philip Bess, professor and director of graduate studies at the Notre Dame School of Architecture. Bess, a long-time new urbanist, looks at the deep philosophical and religious implications of traditional urbanism, architecture, and modernism. SmartCode Solution to Sprawl is a practical guide to using the SmartCode by Faulkner University’s Jones School of Law (Montgomery, Alabama) Associate Professor Chad Emerson. It is published by the Washington-based Environmental Law Institute (ELI).
