A Real Estate Entrepreneur Program

Don’t miss this unique and compelling opportunity to experience first hand the role smaller real estate entrepreneurs are playing to create a sense of place, retrofit older neighborhoods, and reclaim the distinctive character of this region. The program will feature tours of retail, housing, commercial, and hospitality projects developed with community-level, non-institutional approaches resulting in uniquely curated distinctive spaces

Panel discussions will address the lessons learned and best practices of real estate entrepreneurs in transforming arterial strips, and bringing new levels of walkable urban density into older suburban neighborhoods and transit locations.

Insightful discussions on the practical obstacles faced by smaller-scale developers will also be part of the program, such as raising project capital, and creating and executing a one-of-a-kind mixed-use program. You’ll engage in informal panels with experienced ULI leaders as they share best practices and lessons learned over their real estate development careers.

The program will also explore the compelling design and architecture that has defined the southwest as a means to adapt to culture, climate, and the automobile. This confluence of forces forms the backdrop for learning how successful developers have incorporated regional identity and style into development projects to create both place and their company brand.
