Joshua Barbee owns and operates Studio S27, a multi-disciplinary art studio specializing in urban design work. As a multi-disciplinary art studio, Studio S27 develops and communicates ideas through the use of renderings, models, and/or pattern books. Studio S27 also specializes in historic preservation and redevelopment work. Since Hurricane Katrina and Rita, Studio S27 has been assisting the State of Louisiana in integrating historic preservation considerations into the development and review of projects proposed for FEMA funding. Studio S27 has been providing the much needed technical assistance for the state to fulfill FEMA’s legal responsibilities under various historic preservation laws and regulations.
