North Carolina TND selling well

Vermillion, a traditional neighborhood development (TND) in Huntersville, North Carolina, posted 90 sales in the 12-month period ending July 2012, the Lake Norman Citizen reported. Not much else in this suburban area north of Charlotte is selling. Vermillion was designed in 1998 by Duany Plater-Zyberk for developer Nate Bowman. As for creating a walkable neighborhood, Vermillion is still a work in progress. With the exception of Harvey's Bar and Grill (see photo above), a "third place," it doesn't have mixed use yet.
