The Charlotte, North Carolina, office of Duany Plater-Zyberk & Co. completed a vision plan for Camden, South Carolina, and is being invited back to discuss additional work, including a zoning rewrite, adoption of “Light Imprint” New Urbanism guidelines, and downtown infill. Tom Low of DPZ says the downtown infill may include a corporate/research campus that would use his “Learning Cottage” concept, which places school buildings so that they wrap around pleasant outdoor spaces.
