Widewaters Group, based in DeWitt, New York, and Robert M. Leidig & Associates, in Monterey County, California, have been authorized by the City of Salinas, California, to negotiate the master planning and redevelopment of an eight-block area in the city’s historic downtown business district. Urban Design Associates of Pittsburgh will lead the master planning for the two development firms. The aims for the development include walkability, connectivity, sustainable design, quality architecture, and transit-oriented design, says Curtis M. Leidig of the Monterey firm.
