A Houston builder has hired Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company to design three sizable traditional neighborhood development (TND) projects, according to the Houston Chronicle. Andres Duany will lead a series of charrettes for Lovett Homes. The TNDs will be among the first of their kind in Houston and are expected to cost in excess of $1 billion. They are, according to the Chronicle: • A 38-acre former Superfund area, known as the MDI site, east of downtown at 3617 Baer. • About 120 acres in several parcels near the Fannin South light rail station. • 110 acres in the Spring Branch area near Hammerly Boulevard and Bingle.
