New Town Builders projects

New Town Builders has more than 5,000 traditional neighborhood development (TND) units in the pipeline or under construction in Colorado, including houses in greenfield and grayfield communities, transit-oriented development (TOD), affordable housing, and redevelopment of public housing. These include: • The 1,000-unit Belle Creek development in Henderson. New Town Builders is developing the project, which is 60 percent built out, designed by Braun & Yoshida Architects. • Stapleton, a redevelopment of a former international airport underway in Denver. New Town Builders is one of the production builders in Stapleton, and recently agreed to take on the workforce housing component, Myers says. • Bradburn, a 112-acre TND under construction in Westminster, where the company is a builder. • A 640-acre parcel in Douglas County, known as the Roxborough State Land Board parcel, where New Town Builders has been selected by the Colorado State Land Board to build a 2,000-acre TND. Braun & Yoshida and Design Workshop did the land plan. • Welby Station, a 52-acre, 700- to 900-unit TOD in Thornton, designed by Braun & Yoshida, where New Town Builders is the developer. • Brighton Lakes, a 1,750-unit TND planned in Adams County with two mixed-use town center zones. The plan utilizes the Transect and was designed by Braun & Yoshida. • A 237-unit residential project called Tollgate Crossing with TND design features in Aurora. The Whole-House Building System will be tested here. • Curtis Park, a 64-unit “for sale” HOPE VI project on a full city block, plus two smaller scattered sites owned by the Denver Housing Authority. Planning and architecture are being done by Braun & Yoshida. • Park Avenue, a combination of rental and for-sale units in a HOPE VI project. New Town Builders is master developer of the entire site and builder of approximately 40 stacked townhouses. Approximately 100 tax-credit rental units will also be built on the site with codeveloper Henry Burgwyn. The site consists of one city block owned by the Denver Housing Authority. Planning and architecture are by Studio Completiva and Braun & Yoshida.
