Combining the strengths of several disciplines, the University of Michigan this year will offer a new certificate program in real estate development that focuses on building well-designed, sustainable, communities. Christopher Leinberger, a developer and real estate consultant who was recently named a visiting fellow at the Brookings Institution, will serve as the director. The program is spearheaded by the Taubman School of Architecture and Urban Planning in partnership with the Stephen M. Ross School of Business and the university’s Law School.
