The third Australia and New Zealand conference

The third Australia and New Zealand conference on New Urbanism is being held March 11-13 in Sydney. The event, Australian Council for New Urbanism (ACNU), marks the first meeting of a group by the same name. The ACNU board of directors includes new urbanists well known to US Congress for the New Urbanism members — Wendy Morris, Evan Jones, Peter Annand, and Chip Kaufman. The board is drafting an Australian Charter, Kaufman reports. The last time the Australia and New Zealand new urbanists met was in 2003, and before that, in 2001.
