Winmore, a new urban project planned for 66 acres in Carrboro and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, has changed hands for $5 million. Partners Phil Szostak, Bob Chapman, and Herman Greene sold to local developers Scott Kovens and Eric Chupp. With 232 residential units and a small mixed-use center, Winmore received general entitlements but still needed final approval for construction documents and for a bridge spanning a creek. The original partners felt that they couldn’t wait any longer. “We just ran out of time — we couldn’t push it any further,” Szostak, who drew the plan, told the Herald-Sun, a local paper.
