Greenberg advises Boston

Toronto urban planner Ken Greenberg is advising the City of Boston on how to bring coherence to the 1.5-mile Rose Kennedy Greenway, which is being created where the “Big Dig” has submerged the Central Artery. Greenberg will focus not only on the greenway and its parks but also on the larger Greenway District that surrounds it — running from the Charles River to south of Chinatown and from the Fort Point Channel to Cambridge Street. Part of the goal, says Greenberg, is to “knit the city back together” both physically and socially.
