Developer Forest City Enterprises has unveiled the retail tenant list for Stapleton’s East 29th Avenue Town Center, the first of several town centers planned for the 4,700-acre development rising on the site of Denver’s former airport. Designed by Denver’s Urban Design Group, the town center features apartments overlooking a 2.5-acre town green, and residential lofts and offices located above retail establishments.
The town center will be anchored by a 58,000 sq.ft. King Soopers grocery store — opening in midsummer — and will include a Walgreen’s drug store, a bank, a restaurant, and a dozen other shops and service establishments that have committed to lease or purchase space. Meanwhile, negotiations continue with a bakery, a dry cleaner, a neighborhood pub, and other prospective tenants for the remaining unleased 19 percent of the 200,000 square feet of retail space.
