Habersham’s town center is beginning to take

Habersham’s town center is beginning to take shape with the completion of its first live/work building and groundbreakings for four more units scheduled in two months. Waiting until the neighborhood just outside of Beaufort, SC, reached critical mass to start the town center, the developers have since discovered a strong interest in the live/work buildings. Three of the four soon-to-be-built units are already spoken for. Surfaced in hard-coat stucco with metal roofs and balconies, the buildings occupy either a 36’- or 18’-wide footprint and will house professional offices, retail and restaurants. “It’s got a lot of character to it,” says Michael Asnip, vice president of the Habersham Companies, “It’s just an old town feel.”
