Langdon joins New Urban News

Phil Langdon, one of the first writers to cover New Urbanism for a national publication, has joined the team of New Urban News as associate editor. Langdon wrote a cover article for the Atlantic Monthly in 1988 which brought widespread attention to neotraditional planning (as the trend was then called), and the new community of Seaside. Many readers were introduced to these ideas through that article, including Robert Steuteville, who eight years later founded New Urban News. Langdon wrote the influential book A Better Place to Live: Reshaping the American Suburb (1994), in addition to five other books on housing and architecture. He has been senior editor of Progressive Architecture, and a contributor to many well known magazines and newspapers. Earlier in his career, he was a reporter, columnist, and architecture critic for the Buffalo News.
