The annual report on real estate investment
ROBERT STEUTEVILLE    JAN. 1, 2002
The annual report on real estate investment trends, Emerging Trends in Real Estate, is once more a benefit of CNU membership. This year, we are mailing it to all members except for associate members, at the beginning of the year, rather than waiting for you to renew your membership. The goal is to give you a more timely report, while taking advantage of lower-cost bulk mail rates. We hope you enjoy Emerging Trends, which once more gives the hard-dollar reasons to build New Urbanism.
CNU’s Charter Awards is once again a popular contest. We received over 230 nominations, and we have sent binders to everyone who entered.
Binders are due back to CNU on February 15; winners will be announced at CNU X in Miami, June 13. If you sent in an entry form but have not received a binder, please contact Laura Otis at (415) 495-4588.
The October/November Organization News included several reporting errors. The New Urban Post is paid for by the Knight Program in Community Building, not the Town Paper. “Council Reports” are available for $15/copy, not $10. In addition, the best contact number for the Town Paper and the New Urban Post is now (301) 990.8105.
CNU's effort to find, analyze, and classify New Urbanism-friendly planning and zoning codes is getting extra help from intern Igor Andersen. His volunteer work from November to February is helping us pull together our publication, which should be out in time for CNU X in Miami Beach. u
