The architectural firm Wolff-Lyon worked with city planners to create the new Business Main Street zoning district in Boulder, Colorado. The previous Commercial Business zoning mandated large setbacks and prohibited residential construction. One of the first projects to be built under the new ordinance is Eighth and Pearl, an 18,200 square foot mixed use commercial and residential block completed in April, 1999, designed by Wolff-Lyon.
