Middleton Hills recently planted its central wetlands park, which will be a major amenity for the 149-acre TND in Madison, Wisconsin. Most of the park will be marshes and ponds ringed by walking trails and grass. Active recreation includes a soccer field, basketball court, volleyball courts, and playgrounds.
The project, designed by Duany Plater-Zyberk & Company and being developed by Marshall Erdman Associates, is selling at a steady pace. Phase one is almost complete, with 42 single family homes under construction or completed, two more in the design review process, and seven townhomes and four “live/work” units also under construction. A 55-unit senior center, Middleton Glen, is scheduled for completion by September, 1999.
