Charles Bohl and the Knight Program in Community
ROBERT STEUTEVILLE    OCT. 1, 2007
Charles Bohl and the Knight Program in Community Building at the University of Miami are running a series of workshops in Lexington, Kentucky, to help local leaders make decisions about “legacy projects” that will be created for the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington and that will remain after the games are finished. Eighty-three ideas have been proposed to the Knight Foundation World Equestrian Games Initiative. They are posted at www.kentucky.com. Among them are public art, a public lighting program, an amphitheater, revitalization of Third Street, a rail passenger line, a festival of the horse, and a downtown ice rink. A final selection will be made through a workshop process by Nov. 13.
