The City of Livermore, California approved Livermore Village, a 5.5-acre mixed-use catalyst project in their downtown. Opticos Design designed the plan and architecture in association with Thomas Dolan Architecture for Anderson Pacific, LLC.
The site is currently a vacant grocery store and strip mall on the same block as Livermore’s historic main street. The project breaks down the superblock into four pedestrian- scaled blocks that focus on an internal urban park. The project will include 281 residential units, including a mix of live-work, townhouses, flats, and a podium courtyard building that integrates 2- and 3-level parking lifts, 6,000 square feet of retail, and 4,500 square feet of artist space. The project is located within a 5-minute walk of Livermore’s Transit Center that includes the ACE Train Station that takes commuters to Silicon Valley as well as regional bus connections.
