CNU’s Draft Chapters Handbook is available for

CNU’s Draft Chapters Handbook is available for perusal. If you are considering starting a chapter in your region, you should take a look at this document. It is on the web at www.cnu.org/chapters. It is not complete, so comments should be sent to Ellen Greenberg, interim director of CNU, at egreenberg@cnu.org. A careful reader will note that chapters are expected to be large and well funded. This is necessary for now so that CNU and its chapters can help one another survive financially and logistically. A nascent chapter in Florida is already rocketing toward acceptance as an independent organization, thanks to a successful membership and fundraising drive by board member Jim Murley, Jean Scott, and Murley’s staff at the Catanese Center for Smart Growth and Sustainable Communities.
