CNU.org, the on-line face of CNU, is

CNU.org, the on-line face of CNU, is undergoing a massive overhaul. It will soon include a database of all CNU members, a raft of new urbanist projects, and a constantly updated calendar. The website will also serve to keep you up-to-date on the status of our many task forces and initiatives. At this time, we need you to call or e-mail CNU to give permission to have your name and contact information on the web. We want your future clients to be able to find you through CNU.org. The ninth CNU congress will be held June 7-10, 2001, in New York City. It will be different from the last two congresses, in that it will be more about deepening participants' knowledge of New Urbanism, rather than broadening the movement. Stay posted in these pages over the next eight months. CNU’s membership stands at a record 2,300, a 50 percent increase over this time last year. Thank you to all of our members; your membership helps CNU grow more active every month. The upcoming training conferences for housing authority officials will produce a publication that will expand upon CNU's Principles for Inner-City Neighborhood Design. The current publication is available on-line at http://www.cnu.org/inner-city.pdf. CNU is proud to welcome Ellen Greenberg as Director of Policy and Research. She will work closely with Task Force and Program Manager Sarah Pulleybank, with the task force chairs, and with the leaders of CNU’s many volunteer initiatives. Her first effort is to finish and release CNU’s report on greyfield shopping malls.
