A first portion of Classical Architecture: A Handbook
ROBERT STEUTEVILLE    OCT. 1, 2006
A first portion of Classical Architecture: A Handbook of the Tradition for Today has been posted on the website of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America. That section, “The Elements of Classical Architecture,” will be joined in coming months by material on other topics, including traditional urbanism, proportion, and historic styles. Christine GH Franck is the guiding force behind the book, which will be published by WW Norton in the fall of 2007. The Institute says this is the first time that the entire classical orders are being made available on-line, in detailed drawings with text. Visit www.classicist.org.
