Georgia Tech offers masters in urban design

The recently approved urban design program appears to focus on practical issues such as how to make communities more appealing to pedestrians and remake the sprawling suburbs. Applications are due January 15 for the following semester.
"The three-semester post-professional degree program is interdisciplinary, preparing architects, landscape architects and city planners to develop design proposals at street- and neighborhood-scales and the strategies to implement them."
"Faculty have published several books on the topic in the last few years, including Urban Design for People and Retrofitting Suburbia (cited as one of “ten ideas changing the world right now” in Time magazine)."
