Leading new urbanist theorist and academician Douglas S. Kel-baugh wrote Repairing the American Metropolis: Common Place Revisited, published recently by the University of Washington Press. The book, a successor to the author’s 1997 Common Place, analyzes what went wrong with America’s built environment and how to go about fixing it.
