Lecture series on real estate development and urbanism

Developer Frank Starkey, a guest lecturer in the Master of Real Estate Development and Urbanism at University of Miami School of Architecture, is presenting a lecture series on “Reinventing Real Estate Development.”

Starkey is co-founder of Longleaf, a 568-acre, TND (Traditional Neighborhood Development) 25 miles Northwest of Tampa. Starkey’s recent focus has been on managing and repositioning Downtown Longleaf to survive and thrive through the recession. He holds undergraduate and professional architecture degrees from Rice University, is chair of The Seaside Institute, and President of National Town Builders Association.

Lectures are held Fridays, in the UM School of Architecture Glasgow Hall, 1223 Dickinson Dr., in the Coral Gables campus. The lectures are free and open to the public. The following lecture are upcoming:
