Leon Krier is lead architect for a new building for the University of Miami School of Architecture, home to America’s first program in town and suburban design. Krier and his collaborators — Merrill and Pastor Architects of Vero Beach and Ferguson Glasgow Schuster Soto of Coral Gables — have produced a Classically-inspired octagonal building with a grand portico on one side and a long gallery on the other. The building will be named for Miami developer Jorge M. Perez, who is giving $1.25 million toward its construction
