Michael Mehaffy is involved in launching a research
ROBERT STEUTEVILLE    DEC. 1, 2005
Michael Mehaffy is involved in launching a research center on “generative coding” with Christopher Alexander, in association with the Martin Centre at Cambridge University in England. Mehaffy will serve as managing director of the Centre for Environmental Structure-Europe, which has support from the Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment. Mehaffy stepped down as director of education for the Prince’s Foundation in mid-November, but will continue to teach and collaborate there. One focus of the Centre will be “messy” order that emerges over time, a topic that Mehaffy said has drawn interest from Andres Duany and others.
