Prospect, a traditional neighborhood development in Longmont, Colorado, has opened its first commercial building. The 10,500-square-foot building is fully leased and houses a post office, several professional offices, and a cafe. In addition to selling coffee and light meals, the 1,700-square-foot cafe will provide grocery staples and office supplies for residents. Six apartments are located on the second floor of the building, which is patterned on traditional main street commercial buildings. The 80-acre community currently has 47 single-family homes and 10 townhomes occupied, with 24 more homes under construction.
