Routledge launches Journal of Urbanism
The Routledge publishing house this spring launched the Journal of Urbanism: International Research on Placemaking and Urban Sustainability. The multidisciplinary, international journal will be distributed three times a year both in print and online. The journal reflects new urbanist influence, since it is under the direction of Emily Talen of Arizona State University, Charles Bohl of the University of Miami, and Matthew Hardy of the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism in the United Kingdom. Articles will focus on topics such as urban regeneration, New Urbanism, European urbanism, landscape urbanism, urban sustainability, smart growth, livable communities, transit-oriented development, and walkable communities. It will highlight research on concepts, methods, and theories. The publisher, Routledge Journals, is part of Taylor & Francis Group, which disseminates 1,250 scholarly journals worldwide.
