St. Joe Corporation, the largest private landowner in Florida, recently presented concept plans at Seaside’s Town Hall for their proposed 495-acre neotraditional development The Villages at Seagrove. The 1,237-unit development connects directly to Seaside, the nation’s first new urbanist community. The first phase would consist of 250 residential and business units and a beach resort, and is scheduled for completion in 2003. Typical houses will be two stories, with eight-foot-deep porches and 1,525 square feet of living space.
