What's so excellent about this garage?

This 1,876-space garage at Amway Center, home of the Orlando Magic, is a "stunning example of form and function," according to the International Parking Institute, which gave it the top award for architectural achievement. The perforated aluminum panels on the exterior mimic the nearby Events Center, and it achieved a LEED Gold certification. Visually appealing? Perhaps, to drive-by traffic. But one wonders how this is sustainable. There are some other winners that seem to fit better into an urban environment.
