The Current Planning Division of the City of Austin Planning Department has multiple career opportunities for those seeking a to work in one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. There are six (6) positions available in the areas of Historic Preservation, Jurisdictional Matters, Zoning, and Urban Design. We seek motivated individuals to lead various planning projects as part of a talented team of planners. The positions offer the opportunity to gain real-world experience in a multitude of projects at various scales. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills and a passion for creating livable city spaces for all. Experience and/or background in a planning or historic preservation related field such as historic preservation, city planning, architecture, landscape architecture, land use, or urban design is preferred.
