RFI: Design And Implementation Of A Prototype Multi-Purpose Placemaking Kiosk
Closing: by Friday, May 31
Description
Kimco Realty is exploring a pilot program to enhance the convenience of its shopping centers and is seeking qualified vendors for the potential future design, development, and implementation of a prototype or prototypes of a multi-purpose kiosk at a variety of Kimco properties. This multi-purpose kiosk is envisioned as a one-stop location for several convenience-based services and short-term placemaking amenities. A design brief, which will be shared as a separate document with prospective vendors expressing interest, has been prepared which outlines the background of this concept and its programmatic requirements. Kimco Realty invites qualified vendors capable of providing the required design services to submit their credentials and qualifications for consideration. The following paragraphs describe the materials and documentation required by Kimco Realty to identify a preferred vendor.
As a pilot program under consideration, Kimco may use information and thought leadership gleaned from this RFI process in its determination of the viability of the program, potential return on investment, and in establishing a budget should the program proceed. At this time, no budget has been set nor have funds been allocated.
Scope of Work
Kimco Realty is seeking information in its evaluation of a pilot program for the design and development of a prototype placemaking kiosk to be tested at several as-yet-undetermined shopping centers throughout the United States. Programmatic details for this prototype are outlined in a design brief that will be distributed separately to respondents returning a completed confidentiality agreement. Respondents are encouraged to consider best-practices in both placemaking and tactical urbanism in their potential solutions to the design problem outlined in the project brief.
