Architectural Designer

Position
Moser Design Group, Inc. seeking an engaged, motivated architectural intern, or architect interested in joining a small team of designers in a fun and collaborative environment. Located in the beautiful neighborhood of Habersham in Beaufort, South Carolina, MDG offers the opportunity to work on a diverse array of projects and to be involved in the entire creative process, from initial meetings and sketches through construction documents and construction. Moser Design Group, Inc. is a residential design and new urbanist planning firm located in Beaufort, South Carolina. Our principle mission is to reintroduce traditional settlement patterns, architecture, and building methodologies within the context of walkable mixed-use communities. We work primarily in traditional neighborhoods, both new and old, and all of our designs are rooted in specific places.

Role
This is a full-time on-site role for an Architectural Designer located in Beaufort, SC. The Architectural Designer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to architectural design, construction drawings, and town/urban planning. One to three years of office experience is preferred; background in traditional architecture is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience in architectural design, construction drawings, and drawing
• Knowledge of urban planning
• Desire to learn and design using traditional building methods, details, and proportions
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in architecture
