Mid to Senior Urban Designer/Planner

TBG is seeking a dynamic and experienced Dallas Regional Leader to join our firmwide Urban Design + Planning Team. The Regional Leader will work directly with the Urban Design + Planning Team’s Co-Directors to oversee all aspects of our urban design and planning work within the north Texas region to ensure the smooth operation of our local resources in support of our firmwide business objectives.
Requirements
- minimum of 8 years of professional experience in urban design and planning, with a proven track record of leadership and project management
- experience in successfully managing clients, complex projects, and design teams
- fearlessly pursue solutions to complex design problems
- think critically, communicate effectively and produce high quality work
- collaborate with diverse groups of people on various teams
- work with and manage others to advance firm goals and priorities
- contribute to creative efforts on projects and in the office
Qualifications
- bachelor’s degree or higher in landscape architecture, architecture, community/regional planning or urban design (master’s degree preferred but not required)
- strong graphic skills, including GIS, SketchUp, AutoCAD and Graphics programs
- solid communication skills across multiple platforms
- self-motivated with solid time management skills
- ability to manage a team and coordinate scheduling
- experience preparing and managing presentation materials, plans, reports, research, and analyses
- comfort with speaking at public meetings and to small groups
- experience facilitating work sessions with groups of various sizes
- ability to collaborate with diverse groups of people and on various teams
