Since 2008, the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) has showcased innovative academic work at our annual Congress. Selected students, academics, researchers, and professionals are offered the opportunity to present their research at CNU's annual Congress for the New Urbanism.
Submissions for CNU 28.Twin Cities in 2020 will be accepted for any research topic that connects the built environment with other dimensions of urban life—social, environmental, economic—whether this connection is from the perspective of design, history, policy, science or method.
We're looking for research that examines, tests, and challenges the field of New Urbanism, a field that touches on a complex array of topics, applying design thinking to issues as varied as housing, transportation, social equity, and climate. We anticipate submissions as varied as the many challenges and possibilities cities and towns face.
Submissions
Papers are peer-reviewed by at least two members of a distinguished group of professionals and scholars from around the world. Final selection is based on the paper's depth of content, demonstration of methodological rigor, and contribution and advancement to the practice of New Urbanism.
Submissions will be accepted until December 20, 2019 at 7:00 PM EDT.
