CNU VIII taught participants about the evolving political landscape of the New Urbanist and Smart Growth movements, and how to deal with the difficult local politics of implementing New Urbanism. By coordinating with the annual conference of Livable Oregon, CNU made this event their largest gathering to date: over 1400 people took part in the four-day event.
